The Copa del Rey is proving to be an ideal opportunity for new players to be introduced to the first team fold, and the VCF Academy continues to provide promising talent for the present and future.
In the match against AD Alcorcón this past Sunday, some 9 players who have previously been part of the youth setup were involved in different capacties. Cristian Rivero, Toni Lato, Hugo Guillamón, Uros Racic, K. Koba Leïn, Yunus Musah, Alex Blanco, Kang In and Guillem Molina all enjoyed minutes on the pitch in the 0-2 triumph in Madrid.
Of these players, some -like Rivero, Lato, Hugo Guillamón and Kang In- have come up through the ranks at the VCF Academy, whilst others have featured for the second team previously in their final preparations for elite football.
